We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically skilled technician to be part of our growing team based out of Orlando, FL. In this role, you’ll be in the field—installing, servicing, and maintaining water treatment systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

What You’ll Do
  • Visit customer sites to conduct water quality testing on pre-treatment, boiler, cooling tower, and closed-loop systems.
  • Monitor treatment programs and make adjustments to chemical dosages to achieve target water quality and optimize system performance.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of water treatment conditioning, control and dosing equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Optimize and maintain water treatment equipment including, water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, programmable controllers, probes, meters, and chemical pumping systems.
  • Prepare detailed Technical Service Reports documenting water quality results, treatment program performance, and recommendations using the DATAGUARD software application.
  • Communicate directly with customers to build strong, collaborative relationships and ensure that Guardian’s oversight and technical expertise contribute to their success.
  • Support account management activities by maintaining appropriate chemical inventories and ensuring preventive maintenance is completed on equipment for reliable operation and optimum performance.
  • Assist with new account set-up and support the sales team as needed.
  • Complete hazard assessments when required and provide customers with training on the safe handling and procedures related to chemicals.
  • Work safely and independently while travelling to and working at, a variety of customer sites.
  • Comply with and support Guardian’s Quality and Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Continuously develop your technical expertise through training and hands-on experience to become a specialist in heating, cooling, and HVAC water treatment.

What You Bring
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to work in a hands-on, field-based role.
  • Previous experience working with customers, ideally in a technical, industrial, or service environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with a diverse range of customers and contacts.
  • A positive attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities throughout the day.
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • The physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and perform moderate lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Post-secondary education in Science is considered an asset.

This is a field-based role serving the Orlando, FL region, with occasional visits to the Guardian headquarters in Sturgeon County near Edmonton (AB, Canada).
